Samantha Corcoran

M.A. (counselling psychology), CCC., n.d.

Provides: Individual Counselling, Couples Counselling, EMDR

Samantha is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a Naturotherapist with the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada. Samantha has completed post-graduate training in EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Method (levels 1 & 2), attachment-focused therapy, mindfulness and the neurobiology of trauma.          

Samantha primarily works with individuals around anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD and self-esteem. Samantha's aim is to build a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship to help you better understand your struggles and work toward your goals from a trauma-informed approach.

Samantha also provides couples counselling to couples who are struggling to resolve conflict, communicate effectively and rebuild trust and connection.

Joan Conway

M.Ed., CCC., n.d.

Provides: Individual Counselling

Joan (she/her) is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) who aims to create safe spaces for people to navigate their struggles, stressors, and healing journeys.

She received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology and Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. In the community, Joan has spent the past five years supporting marginalized groups and survivors of sexualized violence which has led her to complete further education in trauma-informed care. Joan’s approach to counselling is grounded in mindfulness-based therapy, which gives people the tools they need to become more aware of their present moment thoughts and feelings and helps identify how they may impact overall well-being.

Joan recognizes and values that each individual’s needs are unique and intersectional. With this view in mind, she introduces elements of other therapies into her practice to provide integrative client care through an anti-oppressive lens.

While working together, Joan hopes that her clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.

Jessica Ivany

Jessica is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a Naturotherapist (n.d.). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Memorial University and her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Jessica has completed post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Jessica’s priority when working with clients is to provide a safe space in a non-judgemental, welcoming environment where clients feel heard and understood. She works with clients to discover the root of the issues they are experiencing and develop healthy coping strategies using a variety of skill-based interventions including CBT, DBT, mindfulness and the Gottman method. Jessica uses trauma-informed approaches in her practice and has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, sexual violence, relationship issues and low self-esteem.

Joanne McHugh

M. Ed., CCC., n.d.

Provides: Individual Counselling (ages 8+), EMDR Therapy.

Joanne is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and a Naturopath with the Academy of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada. She received her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and her Bachelor of Education from St. Francis Xavier University. Joanne has worked with educators and young people for twenty years as a school counsellor and teacher. Joanne has completed additional training in self-regulation therapy, narrative therapy, and is an EMDR trained therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). 

Joanne’s work is based on a respectful, curious, and collaborative approach, building on personal strengths and a willingness to discover, reflect, and integrate new insights into living.  Drawing on your felt experience, and utilizing therapeutic techniques such as EMDR, we can process ideas and memories that have remained with you, and gently build awareness and healing of traumatic moments

 Kendell is a Practicum Student who is a Candidate of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program with Yorkville University. She holds a student membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Kendell has previous experience in counselling as she is a Registered Social Worker in NL.

Kendell aims to provide a calming and safe environment with her clients using a trauma-informed lens. She is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and regularly uses other cognitive behavioral modalities. Kendell has experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, and various life challenges.

Kayla is a registered social worker who completed her Masters of Social Work (MSW) at Memorial University. She has been working in the field of social work for over 10 years and her experiences range from work within government, health care and the non-profit sector.

Kayla is passionate about working with individuals, couples and adolescents (16+). Her key areas of interest include anger management, emotional regulation, complex grief/loss, divorce/separation, adjusting to major life transitions and holistic self-improvement.

Kayla enjoys practicing from a trauma informed lens and incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet and match the unique needs of her clientele. She prides herself in building meaningful relationships with people that are rooted in warmth, mutual respect, and empathy. Kayla values creating safe and non-judgemental spaces for her clientele where they are free to heal from trauma and explore opportunities to promote self growth and awareness.

 As a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and self-growth. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Memorial University and a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. My professional journey has taken me through diverse roles, including working with various non-profits internationally, counselling university students, Child and Youth Care and Educational Assistant.

In my counselling practice, I specialize in working with adults (18+) struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, depression and ADHD. My aim is to support you in building emotional resilience, adapt to major life changes, enhance personal growth and discover self-worth. I believe in the power of a trauma-informed, cross-cultural approach, where clients are seen and heard in their unique life journeys. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their strengths, confront their challenges, and work toward meaningful change.

Tiffany is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) Practicum Student at Yorkville University and a Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). With several years of counselling experience in the community sector and an undergraduate degree in recreational therapy, her work in mental health, substance use, and complex trauma has inspired her professional values.

Tiffany uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to establish meaningful relationships with clients. She strives to deliver non-judgemental, culturally responsive services to support transformative change.

Tiffany uses various modalities based on each clients’ needs to develop healthy coping strategies. Her key areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, conflict management, interpersonal communication, and life adjustment.
